Couples Intensive

Twelve weeks of private work, built around the two of you.

It starts with an assessment: five hours in the first week, plus online questionnaires, so I understand both of your histories, your patterns and what keeps getting set off between you. Then we meet for two hours every week. Some weeks together, some weeks an hour each, so you both get the same chance to be heard and to work on your own triggers. I'm not here to referee. Most couples have done enough of that. We work on what sets the argument off in the first place, so the old triggers lose their charge. I'll often see patterns you can't see from inside them. Part of my work is translation: helping each of you understand the other's wounds in a language that finally makes sense, so you both feel safe, felt and heard, and can move forward. My approach is multidisciplinary. I'm trained in the Gottman Method, BWRT, Discernment Counselling and Terry Real's relational work, and I don't follow one school. I go where your relationship needs. The eight pillars of the Relationship Realignment Method run through it all, but here the work follows you, not a syllabus.
